Design Quality Assurance Specialist

The Opportunity

The Design Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in all design deliverables. This position involves overseeing the QA processes for design projects, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines, and providing support to design and production teams. The Design QA Specialist will work closely with designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to identify and implement best practices, streamline workflows, and maintain rigorous quality standards.

• Lead the QA process from project inception to delivery, ensuring design outputs meet quality standards and client specifications.

• Verify compliance with Roche branding and client-specific guidelines while proofreading and editing design materials for accuracy and consistency.

• Approve projects and change requests (CRs) post-production, maintaining detailed records of quality checks and feedback in Workfront.

• Intervene in the design process to ensure compliance with brand guidelines and identify process efficiencies to reduce incoming CRs.

• Work closely with graphic designers and project managers to ensure seamless communication while implementing client feedback and requests accurately.

• Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud and Workfront for quality assurance checks, while employing tools to improve QA accuracy and efficiency.

• Establish a feedback loop with the design team to track design errors, provide insights for continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Who you are

You are a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a passion for maintaining high standards of design quality. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve the best possible outcomes. Your expertise in design quality assurance and your commitment to continuous improvement make you a valuable asset to any design team.

• 3+ years of professional experience in design quality assurance or a related role within a creative agency or similar environment.

• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools.

• Demonstrated ability to create and utilize QA checklists and maintain quality standards across multiple projects.

• Strong knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout design, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Proven experience in managing and reviewing design projects from concept to final delivery.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback to designers and other team members.

• Familiarity with Workfront or similar project management tools is preferred.
