Overview:

We are seeking a Design Producer to support the Enterprise Design System team as we mature how we plan, execute, and continuously improve our delivery. This role supports a cross-functional team spanning technology, design, content, and research, and focuses on enabling effective team practices, clear work intake and requirements, purposeful working sessions, and identification, facilitation and tracking of meaningful metrics and analytics.

Team Operations & Effectiveness

  • Assess, support, and continuously improve the team’s delivery processes and day-to-day workflows to reduce friction, improve predictability, and better reflect the needs of the team.

  • Facilitate and evolve team operating rhythms such as planning, refinement, reviews, demos, retrospectives, and other working sessions to ensure they have clear purpose, agendas, decisions, and follow-through.

  • Help define, document, and reinforce lightweight standards for how the team works, creating clarity and consistency across recurring practices.

  • Surface active and potential impediments, identify operational gaps or risks early, and partner with leaders and peers to escalate and resolve them.

  • Advocate for and reinforce shared mindsets, behaviors, and practices that support agility, design thinking, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Work Intake & Requirements

  • Establish, maintain, and improve clear processes for work intake across request types such as bugs, feature requests, new components, and system maintenance, ensuring requests are routed, acknowledged, and captured consistently.

  • Support the initial analysis of incoming work by helping identify gaps, dependencies, missing requirements, and readiness concerns before work moves forward.

  • Partner with product, design, and engineering to improve requirements quality and readiness hygiene, including clearer acceptance criteria, ownership, and dependencies.

  • Facilitate lightweight triage, prioritization, and sequencing conversations by preparing inputs, documenting outcomes, and helping the team maintain alignment on next steps.

  • Help maintain clear documentation that shows how work moves through the team from intake through delivery, making processes easier for team members and partners to understand and follow.

Delivery & Release Coordination

  • Coordinate day-to-day execution for releases and sprint-based work by supporting planning, follow-through, and visibility into scope, ownership, target dates, and progress.

  • Help maintain accountability for work tracking by encouraging clear task capture, updates, and follow-through across the team.

  • Monitor delivery progress and communicate status, blockers, risks, and changes in a timely and actionable way to the appropriate partners.

  • Support release readiness by helping ensure work is sufficiently defined, sequenced, and understood by the team before execution.

Documentation, Communication & Team Accountability

  • Create and maintain clear process documentation, meeting outputs, and operational artifacts that help the team and its partners stay aligned.

  • Support strong meeting hygiene by ensuring key sessions have agendas, outcomes, action items, and appropriate follow-up.

  • Help reinforce accountability by following up on commitments, clarifying owners, and making decisions and next steps visible.

  • Promote consistent communication practices that improve transparency across the team and with cross-functional stakeholders.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Track, interpret, and share simple delivery and team health signals such as predictability, throughput trends, cycle time, quality, and team health to inform planning and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Facilitate retrospectives and other improvement conversations that help the team reflect, experiment, and adapt over time.

  • Identify gaps in people, process, and systems, and bring forward practical recommendations or proposals for improvement.

  • Support the creation of more effective team standards, operational practices, and collaboration patterns based on observed needs and feedback.

Demonstrated facilitation skills for planning, refinement, review, retrospective, or similar working sessions, including agenda setting and documentation of outcomes.

Ability to bring structure to ambiguous work by organizing inputs, coordinating across partners, identifying gaps, and following through on commitments.

Experience creating or maintaining process documentation, team standards, or operational guidance that helps others work more effectively.

Comfort with delivery and team health metrics, and the ability to turn them into simple, actionable insights.

Experience improving team operating rhythms, work intake practices, and requirements readiness.

Experience working with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery approaches, and the ability to adapt practices to fit team context.
