Design Operations -Specialist

We are seeking a Design Operations - Specialist for our Design Practice. The role will be located in our New York, NY offices. 

Candidate will support the orchestration and optimization of the people, processes, and practices necessary to foster a creative environment for a dynamic design practice. In this role, candidates will need to demonstrate initiative and program management skills to support and help develop best practices for the UX team on how we work together, and how we get work done.

The candidate will help establish the operational foundation, strategy, and direction to ensure the UX teams have what they need to thrive and deliver great work aligned with strategic initiatives. This includes facilitating internal meetings, coordinating with head of design ops on scheduling/HR/team health/budget, identifying pain points in internal processes, and supporting solutions, all while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.

This role will need to prioritize amongst deadlines, and shifting priorities. Always with the underlying goal of helping us as a team grow and develop new skills, while increasing trust, transparency, and engagement.

Candidate should be adept at utilizing data to articulate their rationale, are a clear communicator, and explain recommendations with confidence and openness. Must maintain both drive and patience throughout the journey.

Candidate must build trust and engage cross functional partners in UX, Product, Tech & Business stakeholders to set the stage for the team to achieve exceptional outcomes. Should be curious, ask questions, and be driven to connect the dots.

Essential requirements:

-Experience in Project Management/Operations role.

-Experience working in complex, matrixed, global or multi-national organizations

-Proactively identify issues that may impair the team from meeting strategic, business, or financial goals

- Strong data-driven visual, verbal, and written story-telling skills

-Track record in using a strategic approach to solve complicated problems and strong collaboration skills

- Strong communication skills

Desirable skills:

Working knowledge of the financial services industry, security markets, and regulations a plus.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
