To support this growth, we’re looking for an experienced Design Manager to join our Frankfurt team.
As a Design Manager, you will lead and manage engineering design activities, ensuring alignment with client requirements, project objectives, and Sedgman’s standards. You will also contribute to engineering estimating and support tender development, playing a key role in project planning and execution.
In this newly created role, your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Support engineering estimating and tender preparation activities.
- Ensure design outputs meet client expectations, safety standards, and commercial objectives.
- Coordinate design reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with global teams to optimise design resources and capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and Safety in Design principles.
- Champion quality management and innovation in engineering design processes.
You are a seasoned Design Manager with strong engineering estimating capabilities and a passion for delivering innovative solutions, with the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline).
- 10+ years of experience in engineering design and project development.
- Proven experience in estimating and tender development.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Native German speaker with professional proficiency in English.
- Experience in mineral processing is highly regarded.
- Proficient in engineering software and project planning tools.
