Dell's innovation studio, part of the Experience Design Group, exists to humanize the PC experience – we imagine new products & experiences, solutions, and technologies, then build them, learn from them, and bring them to life.
We are a multi-functional team from diverse backgrounds, who work to explore, define and build the human computing experiences of tomorrow. We drive innovation & disruption for Dell at the intersection of Design, Technology & Strategy; with expertise in UX, UI, research, strategy, data science, product, visual, motion, industrial, SW & HW engineering.

What you’ll achieve
The Design Lead is a senior role, and the potential candidate should be decisive and excited to help drive the Design Team forward — we need someone who will never tire of pushing the work to be better. Passionate about working in an agile, diverse, global team, able to reimagine tomorrow and deliver solutions that solve real problems, always approaching ideation with a bias to action.
You will:
- Drive an experience-led approach & creative output across a range of innovative & disruptive projects
- Discover new opportunity areas & what they mean for Dell, build UX simulations that showcase future experiences, and translate our thinking into tangible next steps for the business
- Lead complex projects to explore coming technology & experience inflection points and the opportunities they create
- Work with a multi-disciplinary creative & technical team to integrate different skills and methodologies into collaborative effort and great outcomes
- Mentor and grow other designers in the team

Essential Requirements
- Proven track record of driving experience-led Innovation - leading interdisciplinary teams in creating outstanding experiences that solve complex problems
- Great pedigree in user experience and integrated experience design, having worked at the intersections of HW & SW design, you will inspire the design team to think big and explore new ideas
- Highly comfortable working within ambiguity – bring a strategic mindset to explore long-term, ambiguous opportunities and help make them concrete
- Strong experience influencing senior executives on what, how and why solutions need to be delivered in a certain way
- Highly collaborative—we need someone who will not just listen but anticipate the needs, concerns, and input from teammates and stakeholders across departments
Desirable Requirements
- Have deep knowledge and practical experience in hardware and software design, from concept creation to development and release
