Design Intern (Summer 2026)

Office Location: Lower Manhattan, NY (4 days per week in the office)

Accrete is a dual-use AI software company that licenses its Knowledge Engine Platform and Expert AI Agents to government and enterprise clients. The platform creates a unified semantic representation of an organization’s ground truth—capturing tacit domain knowledge, understanding contextual relevance, and connecting information silos—enabling expert agents to reason across complex data and support high-stakes decisions with confidence.

From national security to commercial use cases, Accrete delivers mission-critical decision intelligence and automation on a single platform.

• Design user experiences and interfaces for AI-powered products and internal tools
• Create wireframes, mockups, user flows, and interactive prototypes
• Translate concepts from design into functional prototypes using modern AI-assisted design and coding tools
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to iterate quickly on product ideas
• Help improve design systems and interaction patterns across the platform
• Conduct lightweight user research and incorporate feedback into design iterations
• Experiment with emerging AI tools that accelerate product design and frontend implementation

• Currently pursuing a degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, Product Design, or a related field
• Strong interest in UX/UI design and building intuitive product experiences
• Comfortable working in tools such as Figma or similar design platforms
• Interested in bridging design and implementation using AI-powered prototyping or code generation tools
• Curious about how AI can accelerate product development workflows
• Strong visual communication and problem-solving skills
• Bonus points for familiarity with HTML/CSS, React, or frontend development concepts

• Summer 2026 internship. June 1 - August 7 
• Four days per week in our Lower Manhattan office 
• $20/hour
