Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed PV system designs for utility-scale solar farms and C&I installations (rooftop, ground-mounted, carports).
- Prepare layout drawings, single line diagrams (SLDs), and electrical schematics using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, etc.).
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, shading analysis, and yield simulations.
- Ensure designs comply with appropriate grid codes, TSO/DNO requirements, electrical and other relevant technical regulations, planning, and building regulations.
- Develop and lead a team of designers to support an expanding business, balancing the skills and experience mix to optimise team performance.
- Provide design input throughout project lifecycle: feasibility, planning, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Work closely with internal technical and construction teams and external contractors to resolve technical issues.
- Support procurement by specifying components (modules, inverters, mounting systems, cabling, protection devices).
- Ensure all designs meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
