As a Design Engineer, you’ll turn the complexity of frontier AI systems into experiences people can actually use — clean, fast, and designed for engineers. Using React, Shadcn, and Tailwind, you’ll build interfaces that define how humans and AI interact.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and document UI components using React, Shadcn, and Tailwind CSS.
Collaborate with designers to translate Figma files into pixel-perfect code.
Implement and maintain design systems in Storybook and Chromatic.
Ensure accessibility, performance, and responsive design.
Contribute to front-end standards across internal and client projects.
5+ years of front-end and design experience; or design engineering experience.
Recent startup experience — you move quickly and iterate fast.
Mastery of React, Shadcn, and Tailwind CSS.
Experience building design systems and UI libraries.
Solid understanding of accessibility and component-driven architecture.
50 - 150USD/hr, based on experience and location.
