We are looking for somebody who enjoys bridging the gap between our financial services clients and RFA technical teams. Somebody who has experience collaborating with Account Management, Sales, and Technical Leadership in phone calls, and on-site meetings to effectively document and communicate technical requirements. This person will respond to RFPs and RFIs and enjoys public speaking and putting on presentations.
One of the requirements for the position will be to put together a technical document with pictures and diagrams of non-proprietary work. Experience working with MSPs, consulting companies, and financial services clients is a nice to have.
This position will be responsible for engineering solutions for RFA clients based on current technologies, work with RFA leadership to define technology strategy, performing R&D process and creating documentation for implementation and support teams as well as supporting sales management and individual deal flow by problem-solving key technical issues for prospective RFA clients. Collaborating with technical leadership, marketing, sales, and account management, you will present convincing and substantiated solution architectures designed to address Client-specific requirements.
Our ideal candidate will be a strategic, execution-oriented Design Engineer with 3+ years experience in a Design Engineering or client-interfacing technical sales role, and have a proven track record of presenting technology solutions to Financial Services Clients. In addition to staying abreast of industry trends, RFA’s competition and best practices, he/she will assist the sales team in their efforts to close new business, and up-sell and cross-sell RFA’s suite of IT services and solutions to an existing Client base.
Responsibilities:
Design and engineer technical solutions for RFA clients
Perform evaluation and selection of products and design components and create supporting documentation for internal RFA Teams
Improve RFA operational processes via automation tools by interfacing with internal departments ,identifying department needs and implementing automation processes.
Collaborate with Account Management, Sales, and technical leadership by participating in Client phone calls and on-site meetings to effectively document and communicate technical requirements.
Take responsibility of deal flow for technical aspects of solutions, including coordination of supporting technical resources, delivery of whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, executive summary documents and trial management.
Present approved technical solutions to Clients, showcasing how proposed plans can be leveraged to support their technology needs and core business objectives; ability to clearly articulate ROI of proposed solutions when necessary.
Prepare detailed responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) and Requests for Information (RFI’s) outlining full scope of projects including technical as well as business and financial aspects.
Interface with third-party vendors, technology partners, and internal project stakeholders to generate solution-based roadmaps, and convincing and substantiated technology and architecture solutions addressing Clients’ requirements.
Liaise with all relevant business units to secure resources required to complete tasks on time and on budget.
Assist with procurement efforts based on approved solutions where necessary.
Qualifications:
3+ years experience in a design and engineering role in a consultative, solution-based environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 components ( Azure certifications are a highly desired)
Demonstrable track record of successfully drafting and presenting Client-specific technology and architecture solutions to the financial services industry strongly preferred.
Understanding of technology required (cloud, storage, infrastructure, and desktop). Ability to quickly learn, understand, and craft a compelling message around emerging technologies and offerings.
Able to work on simultaneous projects, completing tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
Able to communicate with technical and non-technical professionals, including VP and C-Level, by tailoring messaging for the audience and delivering a clear and concise story leveraging everyday situations.
High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software (Salesforce or a comparable alternative).
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of experience.
