CelLink’s ultra-thin, flexible interconnect technology is transforming how next-generation data centers, EVs, and aerospace systems are built. As part of our engineering team, you’ll have the opportunity to directly influence how the world’s most advanced electronic systems are powered and connected.
As a Design Engineer at CelLink, you’ll serve as the technical bridge between cutting-edge customers and our advanced interconnect technologies, driving the design, integration, and deployment of high-performance power and signal delivery solutions that enable large-scale compute.
You’ll collaborate directly with hyperscalers and OEMs to translate complex mechanical and electrical requirements into manufacturable, reliable products. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role blending mechanical and electrical design ownership, system-level engineering judgment, and customer engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and internal teams on CelLink’s advanced data center interconnect solutions.
- Collaborate across the ecosystem, working with hyperscalers, OEMs, ASIC vendors, and contract manufacturers to validate mechanical and electrical integration.
- Own design execution by creating, modifying, and optimizing detailed 3D models, drawings, and assemblies in SolidWorks (or equivalent), including full GD&T definition to ensure manufacturability and consistency.
- Translate customer system requirements into robust mechanical and electrical designs, balancing performance, reliability, and manufacturing constraints.
- Perform and interpret electrical performance analyses and first-order calculations (e.g., current capacity, voltage drop, resistance, inductance, thermal considerations) to support design decisions and customer discussions.
- Support NPI and prototype development from concept through qualification and production launch.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance during installation, integration, and troubleshooting, both remotely and on-site.
- Partner with R&D, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure solutions meet stringent performance, reliability, and scalability requirements.
- Create high-impact technical documentation, including detailed drawings, BOMs, tolerance analyses, installation instructions, and design reports.
- Deliver presentations and training that clearly communicate complex technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Uphold CelLink’s culture of integrity, teamwork, and accountability in all interactions.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, or a related field
- 5–7 years of experience in applications engineering, product design, systems engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Proven experience owning CAD designs end-to-end, including detailed drawings and GD&T.
- Strong understanding of power delivery and high-speed interconnect systems, with the ability to discuss electrical performance tradeoffs confidently.
- Experience performing engineering calculations to support design decisions and customer requirements.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD tools) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both engineering and business audiences.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to customer and vendor sites as needed.
