Role and Responsibilities
• Lead Designer on new projects and pitches, generating and executing original Branded Packaging design concepts; with a core focus on Premium FMCG packaging in the Food&Beverage, Beauty Personal Care and Beers, Wines & Spirits Categories.
• Supporting CD in building a dynamic, thriving creative environment; motivating and enthusing the design team, contributing to the growth and development of the company.
• Working with the Client Servicing Team to produce appropriate Design solutions that meet client needs. Input to briefs and presenting to clients as required. Supporting New Business Development Team with Pitches and Proposals.
• Overseeing project designers on a day to day basis as appropriate to ensure a high level of creativity and quality; consistently exceeding expectations. Participating in WIP / internal reviews as required, preparing compelling presentations of concept work.
• Additionally, the role requires a proactive approach to building and maintaining creative and commercial knowledge; high awareness of current design trends, client sectors and client competitor activity.
Requirements
Desired Skills and Expertise
• 8+ yrs Packaging Design history with ‘named’ agency, and experience in global premium and masstige FMCG brands in the Beauty / Personal Care, Food and Alcohol Sectors.
• Mandarin isn’t necessary but an interest in and appreciation of the challenges and possibilities afforded by designing for an ever changing and rapidly developing consumer culture is essential.
• Expert in Illustrator and Photoshop Visualisation and with confident sketching ability. Some Structural Design Knowledge/Experience will be helpful
