Job Description
Design Assurance Quality Engineer, Hardware & Software (San Diego, CA. USA)
This is an opportunity to join a high performing team of safety-oriented quality engineers all dedicated to helping Philips continue to develop and maintain quality products with an emphasis on patient safety.
Your role:

Supports the design for hardware and software and ensures Philips meets quality and compliance standards for every planned milestone.

Provides effective oversight of the execution of the quality, reliability, PMS Plans, and Risk Management activities, and all of design related activities during the product/system lifecycle.

Ensures product safety risk management deliverables are created, maintained, and stored in the Risk Management file during product development.

Monitors and reports on the product’s safety risk management performance in the field and ensures deliverables are updated as needed.
You're the right fit if:

You’ve acquired 3+ years of development or quality engineering experience.

Your skills include knowledge of design controls and risk management. Experience in software development and medical devices is a plus.

You have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in California is $89,376 to $153,216 annually.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to San Diego, CA. USA
