BUSINESS CONTEXT:
FBP distribution continues to evolve with accelerating renewal pace in the coming years to update our Point-of-Sales retail environment and elevate our Brand image. The number of renovation and new opening of projects in our Local market and Travel Retail has increased between 2025 and 2026 and will continue to increase by 25% going forward into 2027. To support this, we need to continue to strengthen our Studio Architecture team to deliver these projects and vision.
II. EXISTING AND FUTURE STAKES:
The Studio team supports retail projects in Local Market SAB, Departmental Store, Multi-Brand retailer, as well as Travel Retail, developing store retail design base on Global concepts and overseeing project management to deliver the number of renewals and openings of each distribution, in an increasing competitive beauty retail environment.
III. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To support this, the role for this position is responsible for the design of Fragrance & Beauty Retail projects in Japan Local & Travel Retail Markets. The Designer will be a creative role, working closely with relevant teams to ensure highest creative and innovative Retail and Event environments that meets the Brand’s standard and global direction while supporting business needs.
He/she will support the Architect Manager in retail project design development to ensure creative and articulated retail strategy that is in line with Global AD’s direction and business needs.
He/she will support the project at each step from design kick-off, design development, tender or pricing phase, construction stage to Store Opening, with key responsibilities in design development and production of 3D visualizations.
- Support Architect manager on Fragrance & Beauty Retail projects including Department Store Counter, Standalone Boutique, Multi-brand & Travel Retail distributions with highest creativity while aligned to Global AD’s direction.
- Responsible for understanding and adapting Global design guidelines in the roll-out of all the Retail projects.
- Work on Design development with 3D modelling software (Sketchup)
- Develop and produce 3D visualizations of the final design for communicating to stakeholders
- Work closely with Merchandising team to ensure creative and articulated store presentation.
- Prepare drawing packages and support team in cost estimates and value engineering.
- Seek out and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, project savings, and innovative design solutions to enhance overall project delivery
- Ensure highest level of quality and consistency in the construction of all distributions
- Interface with relevant internal functional teams and external consultants to ensure optimal project delivery
- Support manager to follow up on improvements / retrofits and maintenance

Internal: Sales department, Marketing department, Trade team, IT department, CSR team
External: Retailer, supplier, contractor
Skills Required
- Experience with 3D modeling software (SketchUp)
- Ability to develop and produce high-quality 3D visualizations
- Experience in retail store design, preferably fragrance and beauty retail
- Ability to interpret and adapt global design guidelines
- Prepare drawing packages and support cost estimates and value engineering
- Coordinate with internal teams (sales, marketing, merchandising, IT, CSR) and external consultants, suppliers, contractors
- Knowledge of construction stage processes through store opening and quality control on-site
- Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and innovative design solutions
