As we expand into Australia, we're building our APAC operations from the ground up - and we want the right people to build it with us.

Role Overview

This is a ground-floor opportunity for an experienced derivatives professional to join Trading 212 Australia. As Senior Operations Analyst, you'll be a subject-matter expert across CFDs and exchange-traded options - working directly with clients, monitoring positions, producing regulatory reporting, and playing an active role in shaping the Australian business.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client queries relating to CFD trades, positions, margin, and account activity

  • Monitor live client CFD and exchange-traded options positions across markets and asset classes, escalating risks where needed

  • Support daily reconciliation of client positions and manage corporate actions affecting open derivative positions

  • Prepare daily, and monthly position and exposure reports for management and regulatory purposes

  • Contribute to ASIC regulatory reporting obligations, including trade reporting where applicable

  • Monitor liquidity, funding levels, and margin utilisation, liaising with UK Treasury and Risk teams

  • Support the build-out of Trading 212's Australian derivatives offering across product, process, and systems

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and enhance the client experience

What you need to have

  • 3–5 years of experience in a derivatives-focused role at a brokerage, investment bank, or similar institution

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field

  • Strong expertise in CFDs, including product mechanics, client margining, and risk management

  • Solid knowledge of exchange-traded options across equities, indices, commodities, and/or FX

  • Experience in trade and position monitoring with a strong grasp of real-time risk management

  • Ability to communicate complex derivative concepts clearly to clients

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and/or reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with ASIC requirements, the AFSL framework, and product disclosure obligations

  • Experience in a start-up or greenfield market-entry environment

  • RG146 accreditation in Derivatives

What we offer

  • A rare opportunity to shape a newly established operation within a high-growth global fintech

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus

  • Hybrid working in Sydney

  • A fast-moving culture that values expertise, initiative, and ownership

  • The backing of an established European fintech with global infrastructure
