What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):
- Comprehensive Planning: Assist in developing detailed plans for major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives.
- Execution and Success: Support the effective execution and successful completion of programs that are vital to the activity’s and agency’s needs.
- Scope and Objectives Definition: Help define the program's scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Program Structuring: Organize the program into sub-programs or tasks, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
- Immediate Goals and Strategies: Formulate short-term goals and strategies to achieve program milestones.
- Long-Term Planning: Develop long-range plans to sustain and expand the program over multiple years.
- Technical Approach Creation: Create and guide the technical approach for the program.
- Technical Direction: Direct the technical aspects to ensure alignment with program goals.
- Resource Identification: Identify the necessary resources (personnel, equipment, budget) required for the program.
- Resource Negotiation: Negotiate with activity and agency personnel to secure the required resources.
- Milestone Setting and Control: Establish and control technical milestones to track progress.
- Schedule Management: Develop and manage schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Budget and Cost Monitoring: Establish and monitor budgets and costs to keep the program within financial constraints.
- Continuous Guidance and Direction: Provide ongoing guidance and direction to ensure the program meets its objectives and delivers value to the agency.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in business or financial related field
- 10 years of professional experience
- Demonstrated experience overseeing contractor performance
- Demonstrated Supervisory experience
- Demonstrated experience in Navy Project Management
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in business or financial related field
- PMP Certification or DAWIA Program Management Level III or Advanced Certification
