We are looking for a Depositary Oversight Manager on Vice President grade]. You will be responsible for leading governance and strategic initiatives to enhance the effectiveness, consistency, and scalability of Depositary oversight across multiple jurisdictions. The role drives alignment of operating models, policies, and controls while ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. The VP acts as a key senior stakeholder, facilitating collaboration across regions and functions to strengthen investor protection and deliver a robust Depositary framework.

What you will be responsible for
As a Depositary Oversight Manager, you will:
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of Depositary governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
Drive cross jurisdictional strategic initiatives, ensuring consistent execution and alignment of oversight practices across locations
Oversee the effectiveness of Depositary oversight activities, including safekeeping, cash flow monitoring, and investment restriction monitoring
Coordinate and standardise governance reporting, including Board and Committee materials, ensuring clear articulation of risks, issues, and actions
Act as a central point of coordination for global and regional Depositary initiatives, promoting best practice and consistency
Provide independent challenge and escalation on governance, risk, and control issues across jurisdictions
Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to implement regulatory change and strengthen control environments
Represent Depositary in senior governance forums, client due diligence meetings, and regulatory interactions
Identify emerging risks and operational gaps, driving remediation and continuous improvement initiatives
Lead and influence cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams to deliver on strategic objectives
Promote a strong culture of governance, accountability, and risk awareness across the Depositary function

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Degree qualified
Extensive experience in Depositary or related financial services roles
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g. UCITS, AIFMD) and Depositary obligations including oversight and safekeeping
Strong understanding of governance frameworks, risk management, and control environments
Experience in regulatory engagement, audits, or due diligence processes
Governance & Risk Oversight: Strong focus on control, compliance, and regulatory alignment
Proven experience in leading and delivering strategic initiatives and transformation programmes
Experience working across multiple jurisdictions with an ability to align diverse teams and processes
