Job Title:Deposit Operations Processor II (Hybrid Eligible: MO)Job Description:

Summary:

Under the direction of the Deposit Operations Manager, performs a variety of duties in the Deposit Operations Department. This position will perform various daily tasks related to the day to day mail processing as well as handle functions that have a regulatory, monetary, and potential reputational risk impact. Functions are time sensitive and must be adhered to by means of policy and procedure as well as other operations of the bank.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Balances and verifies statements, notices, deposit totals, files and all other requests and tasks through the FIS Dashboard.  Resolves any issues or concerns that arise throughout the process.

  • Handles the daily receiving and distribution of internal and external mail, courier bags and return mail processing, dependent on location.

  • Distributes work from other regions and prepares for nightly pickup when necessary.

  • Completes daily and monthly hold statement processing.

  • Completes daily lockbox and remote deposit processing as well as daily teller deletions.

  • Assists with other Deposit Operations responsibilities and tasks as needed.

  • Renders bank statements and notices including CD Interest checks.

  • Assist other banking units with differences and adjustments.

  • Responsible for electronic payment processing/exception item processing, including but not limited to: returns, chargebacks, adjustments, and unposted items

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must exhibit characteristics of a team player who can work independently as well as within a group setting

  • Excellent organizational skills and commitment to meeting deadlines and the ability to work well under pressure

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of client transactions and bank records

  • Ability to work independently, with little to no supervisory oversight.

  • Strong decision making process that is consistent, thoughtful and informed, with the ability to consider alternate conclusions and actions.

  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, good time management skills and the ability to initiate and embrace change.        

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to operate computers and a variety of office equipment.

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 2-3 years banking experience required 

  • Knowledge of check clearing process and adjustment process preferred

Computer and Software Skills:

  • Microsoft office suite

  • Google Apps

  • Outsource FIS

  • Bankway

  • Salesforce

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • None

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM CST - 4:00 PM CST

In office 2 days per week
