What you'll do:

The Manager, Tax Processes leads the BOS team responsible for the accurate, timely, controlled, and compliant operational execution of informational tax reporting, federal tax withholding and remittance, FATCA, non-resident alien tax documentation, B Notices, TIN compliance, tax-form corrections, and IRS filing support. The manager ensures work is supported by clear ownership, current procedures, effective controls, accurate reconciliations, independent review, complete audit evidence, trained staff, and sustainable backup coverage.

  • Maintain the annual informational tax calendar, including regulatory and internal deadlines, dependencies, owners, review requirements, escalation points, and backup coverage.
  • Oversee pre-filing quality assurance, filing-file validation, source-to-output reconciliations, acceptance confirmations, rejects, corrections, and retention of filing evidence.
  • Oversee federal backup withholding and FATCA withholding monitoring, general ledger reconciliations, EFTPS remittances, payment cutoffs, monthly validation, and preparer-reviewer evidence.
  • Direct NRA and Form W-8 operations, including new-account reviews, recertification, documentation validation, U.S. indicia resolution, IBS tax-field maintenance, GIIN-related activities, and escalation of complex interpretations to Corporate Tax.

  • Oversee tax-form corrections and late-original requests; ensure requests are authorized, system reports are reviewed, repeat errors are analyzed, and filing results and customer copies are retained.
  • Manage tax-related vendor and system dependencies involving FIS, Deloitte, IRS interfaces, and other service providers; escalate service, access, data, certificate, or filing issues promptly.
  • Partner with Corporate Tax to distinguish BOS operational execution from tax interpretation and to establish clear ownership for forms, filings, reconciliations, customer notices, extensions, and regulatory decisions.
  • Maintain current procedures, effective controls, trained staff, backup coverage, business continuity, and audit-ready evidence across assigned tax processes.
