About Kontakt.io

Inside health systems, where every second can matter, operations are still spread across dozens of disconnected tools and platforms. Kontakt.io is changing that.

We combine proprietary hardware, AI-powered intelligence, and deep integrations with the technology health systems already have in place to build real-time understanding of what's happening across their operations. That intelligence becomes the execution layer care teams have been missing, helping them make smarter decisions and deliver better patient care.

Backed by Goldman Sachs and trusted by leading health systems including HCA Healthcare, Sutter Health, AdventHealth, Trinity Health, Northwell Health, Cleveland Clinic, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, we’ve more than doubled our revenue and are rapidly scaling with a clear path toward $100M in annual recurring revenue.

If you're excited to solve hard problems and help health systems deliver better care, we'd love to meet you!

Deployment Program Manager (Product Management Team)

As a Deployment Program Manager at Kontakt.io, in our Product Management Team, you'll own the health of every deployment across our hospital customers — not by taking anyone's word that "it's working," but by going and checking yourself. You'll spend time on the road, in hospitals, making sure our deployments actually work long-term — not just at go-live.

What You'll Do
  • Own the deployment workflow end-to-end — from the deployment application itself to how hardware performs in the field, months after installation.

  • Travel to customer sites (~6 weeks per year) to observe live deployments, talk to hospital stakeholders, and verify — firsthand — that things are working as reported.

  • Build strong relationships with hospital-side business and project owners, translating their pain points and priorities into clear input for product and engineering.

  • Partner closely with Professional Services, whose program and project managers are incentivized to move fast — your job is to be the counterweight, obsessively focused on whether deployments hold up over time, not just whether they shipped on time.

  • Work with Customer Success to catch early signals of deployment drift or recurring issues before they become churn risks.

  • Collaborate with mobile (iOS/Android), firmware, and hardware teams to understand technical constraints and push fixes upstream.

  • Feed structured, evidence-based feedback to the product team — and use that credibility to directly influence the roadmap.

  • Use AI tools independently to build what you need — quick dashboards, tracking tools, or analysis — without waiting on engineering bandwidth.

What Success Looks Like
  • First 6 Months: You know our customers by name — their configurations, hospital-specific setups, and system quirks. You've been on-site enough to have your own opinion on what "working" actually looks like, independent of what you've been told.

  • You've identified and documented real gaps in the deployment workflow — not hypothetical ones — and have credibility with Professional Services and Product because your findings hold up.

  • You've built at least one lightweight tool or dashboard yourself (using AI) to track deployment health, without needing to wait in an engineering queue.

  • Product and engineering treat your input as a trusted signal for roadmap decisions.

  • Deployment issues get caught and flagged by you before they surface as customer complaints.

You're a Fit If You…
  • Have a background in pre-sales, sales engineering, or a similarly stakeholder-facing technical role — you're comfortable in a room with hospital IT staff, project owners, and clinicians, and can translate between technical and business language fluently.

  • Have a healthy skepticism — "someone told me it's working" is a starting point for you, not an answer. You go verify.

  • Are borderline obsessive about deployment quality and longevity, even when the people around you are incentivized to move on to the next thing.

  • Are comfortable using AI tools as a self-starter — you don't need hand-holding to build a dashboard or automate a report; you just go do it.

  • Are genuinely energized by travel and being on-site — this isn't an occasional trip, it's a regular part of the job (~6 weeks/year).

  • Can hold your ground with Professional Services and Customer Success teams respectfully, even when your priorities (long-term reliability) conflict with theirs (speed).

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll be the voice that carries field reality back to product and engineering.

  • Bonus: You've worked in healthcare, hospital IT, or another environment with complex physical/technical deployments.

Logistics, Perks & Benefits
  • Equity in a high-growth company scaling toward $400M+ ARR and backed by leading investors

  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401k, paid time off, paid parental leave and all the tools you need to do your best work

  • Autonomy to solve meaningful problems with work that ships quickly and makes a difference

Compensation

The expected base salary range for this role is $140,000 – $170,000 for New York-based candidates. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. In exceptional cases, where a candidate’s experience or qualifications significantly exceed those anticipated for this role, we may consider the candidate for a more senior level. This role may also be eligible for equity and bonus compensation.

Skills Required

  • Background in pre-sales, sales engineering, or a similarly stakeholder-facing technical role
  • Comfort communicating with hospital IT staff, project owners, and clinicians
  • Ability to translate technical and business language fluently
  • Healthy skepticism and willingness to independently verify deployment performance
  • Strong focus on deployment quality and long-term reliability

  • Willingness to travel regularly and work onsite approximately six weeks per year
  • Ability to respectfully challenge Professional Services and Customer Success priorities when necessary
