About the team:

The Smart Grid Technology Lab focuses on research in real-time simulation technologies, microgrid energy management, control systems, and other smart grid technologies. We apply cutting-edge technologies to the digital power industry. The lab has developed into a research organization with significant achievements and a strong impact in the industry.

About the job:

  • Provide direct administrative and office management support to director and managers of the department as directed.

  • Prepare travel schedules, book travel arrangements, and make reservations for senior management and occasionally members of their staff.

  • Coordinate logistics of team programs including meetings, seminars, workshops, special projects, and events (including awards, celebrations and social events).

  • Take minutes, track meeting resolutions and manage basic systems and documents for procurement projects.

  • Refer and/or redirect calls, e-mails, or visitors as required.

  • Complete expense reports, pay invoices, and other related duties.

  • Present a positive and professional image of the office to all visitors, suppliers, inquiries, and other persons.

  • Provide some personal assistant duties as required (lunches, errands).

About the ideal candidate:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma in Business Administration, or relevant discipline.

  • Strong knowledge of office procedures and practices.

  • Fast learner and keen attention to detail.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).

  • Resourceful and flexible, desire to contribute to a team environment.

  • Strong communication skills, organizational skills, time management skills and ability to schedule duties/projects (multi-task).

  • Ability to handle stressful situations
