Buying Quantification
- Ensure sum of customer group plans are in line with total aggregated plan per Continent/ Planning Market
- Responsible to translates Sales Markets’ bottom-up demand plans into supply plans and buying volumes per planning dimension / WH, particularly through:
- Input provision on local specifics with relevance for supply plans (e.g., seasonality, climate)
- Revision of optimal channel split per planning dimension/ Sales Market to be considered in supply planning (based on hindsight analysis)
- Operationally accountable on updating, executing, and adjusting splits in PLUTO (by channel and planning dimension)
- Identify deviations in Global supply plan vs. bottom-up supply needs from Sales Markets, and provide recommendations on how to adjust (only if needed; responsibility for final buying quantification remains with Global Supply Planning)
- Act as the Continent-level contact point on Buying Quantification matters for Global Supply Planning and Global Product
- Oversee order writing from a Continent-level perspective and follow up with Global Product in case of deviations from the supply plan
- Responsible for in-season forecasting of supply in relation to demand towards Global product
Pre-season Allocation to Planning dimensions/ warehouses
- Oversee pre-season allocation of stock to PM/ warehouses based on approved buying volumes and SM plans from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective (i.e., ensure allocation follows defined QCPs per Sales Market and reflects Global and Continent priorities):
- Quantitative perspective: Monitor warehouse allocation in tools (esp. Anaplan /Pluto) and review data accuracy and correct parameter setup
- Qualitative perspective: Review flows based on verbal feedback from Product Merchandising Leads
- Follow up with Global Supply Planning and Continent Logistics in case of deviations or disruptions in Anaplan/ Pluto
- Gather learnings and share them with Global Supply Planning and Global Supply Planning Development to support continuous improvement of PM / Warehouses allocation logic and tools
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, or a related quantitative field
Skills
- Technical buying: Deep understanding of the end-to-end buying process, including demand and/ or supply planning, buy plan creation, and allocation management
- Analytical capability: Strong ability to assess Global supply and Sales Market demand plans, evaluate feasibility, and identify planning risks
- Communication and collaboration: Excellent ability to facilitate discussions across teams
- System proficiency: Knowledge of planning tools such as Anaplan / Pluto is a strong plus
