Role Purpose
Manages and controls the Country Demand Planning and New Product Launch (NPL) Forecasting activities required to meet customer needs, business requirements, and service level objectives. In addition, designs, monitors and maintains finished goods inventory levels and system integrity. The role is required to demonstrate a high level of decision making skills and have the ability to engage stakeholders across functions.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Inventory Management and NPL execution. Facilitating the NPL Forecasting and Coordinate the monthly demand forecast process via an effective SI&OP process aligned with financial objectives
- Interact with the Country Operations on: DC Replenishment targets setting and OTO process management; Inventory analysis (Potential Stock out, Inventory Projection, Inventory to Target); Consignment Inventory Management (Target setting & Analysis); Line Fill rate root cause analysis and corrective action; Backorder (Open Order) availability information; Tender (Bulk order) Lead Time quotation; E,E&O process & short Shelf Life process assistance.
- Generate Monthly metrics and reports; New Product Launch execution and Inventory setting; Material Master Maintenance.
- Develop and execute annual inventory plan to meet organization goals.
- Interact with Country Marketing / BUM on: Country New Product Launches (NPL) Demand Forecasting; ABC product Classification.
- Interact with local RA/QA on: NPL Regulatory approvals; Hold / Recall inventory implications; Strategic inventory.
- Interact with Divisional Demand Planning on: Fair Share Inventory allocation; BO (open Order) availability information; Execution of the Div Demand Planning NPL forecasting guidelines; Revert to Div. DP local NPL forecasting needs; Execution of the Phase out plans; Bulk order communication.
- Develop demand forecast based demand patterns and business goals.
- Drive monthly SI&OP meeting with stakeholders.
- Maintain demand planning process and improve forecast accuracy.
- Key local country and local markets knowledge application.
- Ensure alignment of forecast for New Product Launches (NPL) and product end-of-cycle across key initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of Tier 2 inventory policies in consultation with the Finance team, taking into consideration the marketing plan and obsolescence risks.
- Monitor and control the inventory levels according to agreed governance process on any variance against policy
- Develop/Recommend inventory transition plans for major product launches in collaboration with GSC and Country Demand Planners to optimize EE&O risks.
- Coordinate the control, monitoring and reporting of supply chain KPIs against targets, including root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Develop appropriate KPIs where relevant to drive supply chain performance in support of business objectives
- Act as the key contact point on supply chain KPI performance and reporting, including support for Value Improvement Projects.
Requirements
- Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics or any relevant degree. APICS certification / MBA will be preferred.
- At least 4-5 years of relevant experience in demand planning and progressive experience in Supply Chain / Operations management required.
- Exposure to and experience working in regional/global supply chain operations.
- Has a proven track record of managing multiple tasks within a matrix working environment and simplifying that matrix for stakeholders and team.
- Strong process, project and time management skills with the ability to organize and handle multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with SAP and Rapid Response/or other similar ERP systems will be an advantage.
- Proactive, enjoys working in a challenging environment, results-oriented and a team player.
