Department OverviewEMEA Demand Planning Team within Motorola Solutions Systems is responsible for managing the volume planning process across selected product categories for the EMEA region. Demand Planners analyze data and work closely with the Supply and Sales department to ensure the business is ready to handle the expected demand. Planners utilize advanced statistical forecast methods to achieve optimal demand signal accuracy and consistency. Demand Planning team is producing reports and ad-hoc analysis that evaluate demand-capacity and identify areas where improvements can be implemented. Demand forecast provided by the Demand Planning team is used by Motorola Solutions to gain necessary competitive advantage in the current ever-changing business environment.
Job Description

  • Plan a portfolio for the region. The individual will prepare and drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for a product technology, partner with Business/Go-To-Market and Product management to develop a consensus product and material forecast.

  • Utilize both historical statistical models' and forward-looking inputs to define a weekly forecast.

  • Work closely with Supply Planning to best utilize capacity under existing material situations.

  • Supervise inventory position in terms of excess and obsolescence management, in cooperation with inventory controller and finance preparing provisions and scrap recommendations.

  • Coordinate new product introductions and cancellations to reduce excess/obsolete piece parts while minimizing customer impact.

  • Quarterly revise portfolio segmentation, support safety stock levels review.

  • Achieve forecast accuracy and volatility goals, and support overall revenue, inventory and delivery targets.

  • Experience with Tableau and SQL is a plus.


Basic Requirements

  • Minimum 1 years of experience in supply chain/demand planning.

  • First class communication in English and presentation skills.

  • Candidate must have a solid understanding of basic Supply Chain principles.

  • University degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or equivalent, Finance. 

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is required (creating and presenting quantitative, summarized data via spreadsheets, pivot tables and graphs).

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details.

  • Positive and proactive attitude towards continuous improvement, solid time management skills, ability to work independently without continuous supervision.

  • Experience with Oracle and/or Demantra planning module, or other MRP systems knowledge is a plus.
