Core Responsibilities

S&OP

  • Lead Demand Review processes (BU Financial Year plan review) leading to the sign-off of the Business Unit’s Consumer Sales Plan by the BU General Manager and Leadership Team.

  • Prepare analysis and deliverables for monthly S&OP cycle in collaboration with the internal team members (Sales, Marketing, Order Management etc.) and regional Demand/Supply Planning teams.

  • Communicate effectively with regional demand planning ensuring top down strategies are understood within region whilst also providing the regional demand planners with clarity of key initiatives across the full forecasting horizon.

Demand Planning

  • Building upon a statistical forecast output, deliver a Consumer Sales and Selling In (shipment) forecast through internally developed planning tool, ensuring known marketing activities, product launch timings, and promotional activities to be reflected.

  • Collaborate extensively with internal team members throughout the Business Unit to drive strategic commercial business ambitions for LEGO Korea, and bridge those plans to tactical commercial actions with Operations, Sales and Marketing teams.

  • Create and maintain baseline forecasts and add market intelligence to statistically created inputs that will improve its accuracy.

  • Partner with Brand Managers in their franchise planning for the full horizon ensuring alignment of assumptions.

  • Provides input for Service Level Classification (safety stock) setting, as well as collaborate with the regional Supply Planning team on local inventory reporting.

Continuous Improvement & Global Project

  • Drive continuous improvements in existing processes, or create new processes to improve business impacts, increase efficiency, and stabilize processes.

  • Actively participate in global projects and implement solutions that best fit the Business Unit, focusing on both processes and ways of working

In this role, you will play a vital role in driving demand planning and execution agenda in BU Korea through driving collaborative ways of working between all the functions within our office in Korea, as well as regional and global stakeholder.

Your main purpose of this position will be to lead monthly S&OP cycle and to participate in creation and execution of Demand Plan for BU Korea. Plan will be created in a structured process through heavy collaboration between Sales, Marketing and Operations teams, as well as APAC Demand Planning team. You will drive and lead strategic and commercial growth ambition into our plan through comprehensive analysis and discussions.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Relevant education in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field.

  • Minimum 7 years of working experience and strong track record on business performance and formal/informal leadership within demand planning/management

  • Experience from working internationally or with international companies/brands is an advantage.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate with different functions (sales, marketing, operations, leadership teams, regional functions and global functions).

  • Enjoy working in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.

  • Data presentation and analysis using data analytics tools such as Advanced Excel/Power BI, and SAP experience is a plus.

  • Advanced skill in MS office (Macro) and Power BI (design & creation)

  • Commercial mind-set should be persistent, self-motivated and highly driven, and must have a can-do mentality.

  • Strong communication skills both in English and Korean and be able to work in a value driven environment where we still strive to deliver results.
