About the Role
Harman is looking for a Demand Planning Manager to own the demand planning for North America Lifestyle Consumer Audio SBU. In this position, you will play a critical role in our organization, ensuring key KPI goals are met, developing process improvement, and collaborating with Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to ensure forecasts are aligned with the Region’s Operational forecast.
Your Team
You will manage a team of 3 direct reports, and you will report directly to the Director of Sales and Operations Planning.
What You Will Do
- Continuously improve forecasts through evaluation of promotional activity, inventory levels, consumption, category trends, customer POS/Forecast/inventory data, and allocation plans.
- Prepare, monitor, and publish forecast KPI’s (Forecast Accuracy, Bias, etc) on a monthly basis, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Lead excess and obsolesces prevention reviews and analyze variances to forecasted items.
- Liaison for the supply planning team with other functional teams (Sales, Ops, Logistics, and Marketing) to incorporate market intelligence into the forecasting environment.
- Partner with Commercial Sales, Finance, and S&OP teams to ensure full alignment/consensus on the forecast.
- Responsible for detailed forecasting duties for the Portable Audio Business unit.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or any related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecast Planning, or Supply Chain role, preferably in a fast-paced consumer industry.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial role with direct reports
- Ability to articulate assumptions, recommend alternatives, and corrective actions for non-adherence.
- Ability to facilitate and manage cross-functional product meetings to resolve issues, gain alignment, and develop recommendations for balancing demand and supply.
- Efficient time management (ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables), Results-driven, Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
What is Nice to Have
- Work experience with large retailers is a plus (BBY, Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and SAP/IBP.
- Strong analytical skills, and experience working with a large volume of data and performing quantitative analysis.

Salary Ranges:
USD 100,125 - USD 146,850
