Supporting the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) organization, this role aligns customer demand signals, market intelligence, and business assumptions into a single demand plan that drives operational, supply chain, financial, and inventory planning activities across the enterprise.

Key priorities include improving forecast accuracy and forecast bias, leading the monthly Demand Review process, developing statistical and assumption-based demand forecasts, supporting strategic business planning, and ensuring alignment between customer requirements and operational capabilities. This position serves as the demand planning subject matter expert within CAG's IBP operating model and plays a critical role in supporting revenue, working capital, and profit forecasting decisions.

To be considered for the Demand Planning Manager role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline required. Advanced degree and/or APICS (CPIM/CSCP), IBF CPF, or related certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of supply chain, demand planning, forecasting, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), S&OP, or related planning experience.
  • Experience developing and managing demand forecasts using statistical, rate-based, consumption-based, and business assumption-driven methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), forecasting, inventory planning, supply planning, and operational planning processes.
  • Experience utilizing ERP and advanced planning systems, including SAP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, Kinaxis Maestro, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, evaluate risks and opportunities, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills; Power BI and data analytics experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
  • Commercial aerospace, aftermarket/MRO, manufacturing, or complex industrial forecasting experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, highly cross-functional environment and manage competing priorities in a dynamic business setting.

As a Demand Planning Manager, you will:

  • Own and maintain a single unconstrained rolling demand plan across Commercial Aircraft Group OE, aftermarket, and MRO product lines, ensuring assumptions, risks, and opportunities are clearly documented and communicated.
  • Lead the monthly Demand Review process within the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) framework, collaborating with Program Management, Commercial, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Aftermarket teams to develop and validate demand assumptions.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models using customer demand signals, historical consumption, market intelligence, installed base analysis, reliability trends, and business assumptions to improve forecast accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and forecast bias metrics, identify root causes of forecast variances, and implement corrective actions to improve planning performance and demand signal stability.
  • Represent demand planning within the IBP process by providing demand projections, business assumptions, and risk assessments that support supply planning, inventory planning, financial forecasting, and executive decision-making.
  • Partner with Operations, Master Scheduling, Supply Chain, Programs, and Finance teams to evaluate changing customer requirements, assess operational impacts, and maintain alignment between customer demand and business capabilities.
  • Support the reconciliation of operational demand plans to financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans, highlighting gaps, risks, opportunities, and performance trends for leadership review.
  • Own demand planning business processes, demand master data governance, forecasting documentation, and user training while serving as the functional subject matter expert for demand planning activities.
  • Support advanced planning system initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, Kinaxis Maestro, and related digital transformation efforts through process development, master data readiness, user adoption, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide executive-level reporting, analytics, and insights that identify trends, performance risks, and opportunities affecting business performance, revenue forecasting, inventory planning, and customer support strategies.
