We are seeking a transformative and dynamic Manager, Demand Planning to strengthen demand planning operations and planning excellence. Reporting to the Director, Integrated Supply Chain Planning, this role will drive core demand planning routines, improve forecast quality, and embed standardized planning practices and tools.
This role is central to ensuring the development and refinement of customer demand is met in an accurate, timely, and scalable way — leveraging advanced assumptions-based planning, statistical modeling, scenario analysis, and predictive analytics.
Your leadership will be instrumental in identifying risks, integrating historical sales trends, leveraging market intelligence to detect demand drivers (seasonality/promotional activity), and product lifecycle stages (e.g. NPI, EOL phase-outs, cannibalization) while driving cross-functional alignment to ensure seamless product flow and a resilient supply network.
Key Responsibilities
1. Demand Planning Operations & Process Excellence
Conduct in-depth analysis of sales data, macroeconomic trends, regulatory changes, competitive intelligence, and internal demand signals to identify patterns, outliers, risks and opportunities.
Spearhead key elements of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycles, preparing for Commercial Management Reviews delivering strategic insights and recommendations to bridge demand-supply gaps and mitigation of risks.
Utilize advanced analytical tools and forecasting techniques for sensitivity analysis, what-if scenario modeling, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize demand plans, inventory positions and enhance financial outcomes.
Partner with finance to seamlessly integrate demand forecasts and inventory strategies with revenue projections, quarterly budgeting and long-term financial planning to identify variances and support strategic decisions.
Proactively address demand forecasting modeling outputs that exceed desired tolerances and communicate adjustments made to mitigate risks and supply chain disruptions to all key stakeholders to maintain transparent forecasting.
Drive new product introductions by converting market insights into demand volumes, documenting assumptions, aligning on revenue implications, and managing phase-outs or cannibalization effects to minimize inventory obsolescence and excess stock.
2. Demand Planning Functional Support
Act as a functional subject matter expert for demand planning operations, process improvements and system-enabled planning capabilities
Participate in requirements gathering, blueprint workshops and process design from a demand planning operations perspective
Validate functional designs, planning logic, configurations and business usability with IT and system integrators
Support configuration and process design discussions across:
Statistical forecasting, forecast overrides and demand segmentation
IBP / S&OP integration, demand review routines and consensus planning outputs
Financial forecast alignment, business assumptions and forecast reconciliation
Exception management, workflows, approvals and demand planning user roles
ERP integration (Oracle), planning hierarchies and master data alignment
Leadership & Behavioral Competencies
Transformative mindset with strong ownership of planning outcomes and continuous improvement
Analytical, data-driven approach to forecast review and root cause analysis
Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and align stakeholders around a realistic demand plan
Structured in managing recurring planning cycles, deadlines, data inputs and follow-up actions
Clear communicator able to explain planning insights simply to business and technical stakeholders
Comfortable operating in a global, matrixed environment
Success Measures
Timely, high-quality completion of monthly demand planning activities and demand review inputs
Improved forecast accuracy and reduced forecast bias through disciplined planning routines
