Demand Planning at Mattel is responsible for managing demand estimates in consensus with the commercial teams, ensuring that business needs are reflected in a timely manner, as well as tracking product availability and seeking to maintain healthy inventories. The main challenges of the area is to ensure proper alignment and communication with the commercial teams, with the replenishment team and establish the S&OP process of the company.
- Support the Manager for the demand plan process for Dolls, Games and MEGA categories in México and Latin America Export Markets; this includes a) follow actual logic of generation demand baseline b) ensure Demand submission through Anaplan system as a tool, c) Follow-up of demand KPI's such as Forecast Variance, Forecast Bias and Value Add, raising warnings with Manager, d) adjust Demand Plan aligned by Management with commercial teams driven by strategy.
- Desirable: Support for the Manager team in consensus meetings with commercial teams, providing visibility into demand estimates for critical issues and priorities, identifying and raising risks and opportunities to get the right product at the right time.
- Desirable: Willingness to automate and standardize demand planning processes.
- Advanced Excel Skills (big data bases, pivot tables)
- Data analysis and ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Intermediate English
- Desirable basic knowledge in Tableau or Power BI and Forecasting Tools as Anaplan, Forecast Pro, SAP-APO.
