JOB SUMMARY:

The Uniforms Demand Planner is responsible for developing and managing the demand plan for the Uniforms product category. This role leverages analytical insights, market intelligence, and sales inputs to generate accurate forecasts and support business decision-making. The position requires strong collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to align on demand expectations and drive supply chain efficiency. The Demand Planner serves as a subject matter expert in forecasting tools and methodologies, ensuring continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and process effectiveness.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively develop, manage, and refine the demand plan for the Uniforms product category.
  • Build and maintain statistical forecasting models using historical data, trends, and business inputs.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to market trends, market share, top customers, and MRP outputs.
  • Participate as a key contributor in the Sales, Operations, and Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for uniforms demand planning processes and systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to align on demand forecasts.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop an unconstrained demand plan, incorporating market forecasts, customer insights, opportunities, and risks.
  • Monitor forecast performance, identify variances, and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Conduct risk assessments on demand plans and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Provide actionable analysis and insights to support strategic planning and inventory optimization.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecast accuracy, reporting efficiency, and planning processes.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, tact, and effective communication in resolving planning challenges.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Statistics, Marketing, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, and spreadsheet tools (advanced Excel required).
    • Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, SPSS) is a plus.
  • Experience working within an S&OP or demand planning environment preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems
    • Oracle a plus
  • Experience with MRP systems
    • Oracle a plus
  • Experience with S&OP and Planning software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across all organizational levels without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
