Global Data - ESMA Data Analyst:
At Global Data by Octus, we power better, faster investment decisions for finance professionals. We develop and implement technology to make it easier for professionals to access and analyze the vast world of financial data and documents while protecting data privacy and enforcing compliance regulations.

The ESMA team within Octus is seeking a Data Analyst to join the London office. This is an exciting opportunity to assist in driving growth in the firm's regulatory data reporting service for the world's leading investment managers. You'll be part of an entrepreneurial team with direct access to management to impact and drive the direction of both product and data development. The ESMA team is seeking a strategic and mission focused individual to enhance our industry leading approach to financial data.
The Data Analyst will be responsible for managing our growing database of issuers, loan and deal sites to ensure we establish the correct relationships and identify assets correctly. This will involve accurate database management, issuer research, management of inflows of client data and collaboration between internal teams and external clients. You will be a key stakeholder, working closely with the product, Commercial (sales), Finance and Legal teams to ensure the quality delivery of our product.
You will use excellent communication skills to liaise both internally and externally to be a product champion for the ESMA team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop mechanisms to simplify the centralization of data collection and integration of those metrics into the ESMA product
- Act as a champion for our client base to understand their needs and requirements. Work with the Commercial team on client inquiries and learn to resolve any related challenges
- Educate client relationships as an ESMA Article 7 framework expert
What We Are Looking For:
- Fixed income operational experience
- Experience with leveraged loans is an advantage, but not required
- Knowledge of broader financial markets
- Ability to be a self-starter, independent-thinker, and collaborative team-player.
- Organized and thrive of being a diligent multi-tasker
