Salary:  $45.00-$50.00/hour (Based on Experience)
              ($2,500 sign-on bonus paid in installments)

Schedule: Part Time (20 hours per week, Flexible Schedule)

Blakehurst is looking for an experienced, hospitality-focused Delegating Nurse who brings compassion, professionalism, and strong skills to work every day. The Delegating Nurse is responsible for the overall supervision and clinical oversight of resident care in the assisted living program including completion of required assessments and oversight of CMTs and other staff.

Primary Responsibilities:
1.         Coordinates completion of Service Plans for Assisted Living residents with the Assisted Living Manager.
2.        Observes each resident at least every 45 days.
3.        Assures accuracy and completeness of the medical record.
4.        Reviews the Assisted Livings Manager’s assessment of residents.
5.        Coordinates and participates in family/resident service plan conferences.
6.        Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to
            medical record documentation.
7.        Assures appropriate delegation of nursing tasks.

Other Duties:

1.        Serves as a staff nurse when staffing levels necessitate in order to meet the needs of 
            the residents.
2.        Responds to emergency calls as necessary.
3.        Ensures notification of physician and family of changes in resident’s condition.
4.        Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
5.        Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
6.        Participate in the monthly Quality Assurance meeting.
7.        Participates in the nurse manager weekend on call program.

Qualifications:

RN currently licensed by State of Maryland.  Current CPR certification. Supervisory experience preferred.  Completion of a Maryland approved Delegating Nurse for Assisted Living course.

All new hires must be able to pass our pre-employment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references, and proof of vaccination or immunity for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella.
