We are a technology company working with international customers. We are looking for a Software Engineer with Japanese language proficiency who can support both software development and communication with customers in Japan. The role involves contributing to engineering work while also helping ensure smooth communication between our India-based technical team and Japan-based customers.
Responsibilities
• Participate in software development/testing activities as part of the engineering team
• Work closely with the Technical Project Manager to support communication and coordination with Japan-based stakeholders
• Support technical discussions and coordination with stakeholders in Japan
• Assist in ensuring clear understanding of requirements, feedback, and project updates
• Participate in technical meetings and project discussions
• Help translate or interpret technical conversations when required
• Work with internal engineering teams to implement and deliver software components
• Assist in documenting requirements, technical discussions, and meeting summaries
• Contribute to collaborative development and problem-solving within the engineering team
Required Qualifications
• ~2 years’ experience with software development/testing
• JLPT N1 or N2 certification
• Strong written and spoken Japanese and English communication skills
• Prior experience working onsite in Japan
• Experience working with Japanese clients
