We are an inland marine company that is looking for experienced deckhands to help us with our daily operations. Carline is a family-owned towing operator located in Geismar, LA operating between New Orleans and Baton Rouge on the Mississippi River. As a Deckhand, you will
be responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to:
- Assisting with securing of barges and vessels
- Operating and maintaining vessel equipment
- Conducting routine maintenance and housekeeping of the
vessel
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Assisting with the transport of barges along the Mississippi River.
Requirements
- Experience as a Deckhand (Inland, Offshore, Dredge, Etc.)
- Knowledge of vessel operations and maintenance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work long hours and in adverse weather
conditions if needed
- Reliable transportation to and from
work
