Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sr Debug Engineer located in Bukit Minyak, Penang. This role will be analyzes and interprets test data and product performance and prepares technical advice for repair.
What a typical day looks like:
- Understands conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
- Prepares technical summary reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
- Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
- Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software for analysis purpose.
- Allocates defect causes to the various sources e.g. process, material, and prepares reports for follow other involved like quality, purchasing, SQA.
- Interferes with floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem solving techniques.
- Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
- Analyse and configure digital circuits using Field programable Gate Array (FPGA) and Ball Grid Array (BGA).
- Resolves failures from Point of origin / point of detection.
- Analyzes and interprets test data and product performance with proper evidence of design related Failure analyze Report .
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent experience and training.
- Typically requires 5 years of related experience
