We are Growth Lending. We work with innovative, high-growth companies and enable them to accelerate their growth by providing a range of flexible credit solutions. We provide facilities from £2–10m and have lent more than £1bn to over 500 companies in the last decade. We have a global footprint, with offices in London, Manchester, Bristol, Manila, Atlanta and Cape Town. This role is based in Cape Town.
This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced investment professional to join our deal execution team. You’ll partner closely with our UK-based deal originators, playing a key role in assessing opportunities, shaping transactions, and taking deals throughout the credit process.
You’ll bring strong financial analysis capability and a structured, thoughtful approach to evaluating businesses. Just as importantly, you’ll be confident communicating your insights and influencing deal direction.
What this looks like:
- Conduct initial analysis of potential deals, assessing viability, risks, and overall fit
- Perform detailed financial analysis and due diligence on SMEs and high-growth businesses
- Partner with deal originators, providing insight and guidance on next steps and deal structuring
- Prepare clear, balanced and well-structured credit committee (CC) papers, with the use of AI
- Support the presentation of deals to internal stakeholders, articulating key risks and opportunities
- Oversee the end-to-end credit process, from initial assessment through to completion and drawdown
- Coordinate and manage deal execution timelines, ensuring smooth progression across all stakeholders
- Manage multiple deals simultaneously, maintaining quality and attention to detail throughout
- Engage with a range of external stakeholders as part of the deal process
This role is ideal for a qualified CA with proven experience executing lending transactions and a strong understanding of commercial lending. You are comfortable working with legal documentation, managing change requests and navigating complexity without losing control of timelines.
You are organised, commercially aware and able to run multiple work streams at once. You build trust quickly, communicate clearly and are confident operating between front office and control functions. A solid grounding in AML/KYC is essential, and experience working with external investors or across jurisdictions is advantageous.
This role stands out from many similar positions. Our sales team relies on our Debt Structuring Managers to interrogate every deal as if they were investing their own money. There is no “rubber stamping” here — we invest with integrity, and your analysis will play a critical role in shaping outcomes.
You’ll develop deep expertise in SME funding and work across a wide variety of sectors, applying both a forensic and pragmatic lens to every opportunity.
You can expect to work closely with an experienced Credit & Risk team across geographies and play a meaningful role in how we deliver transactions as we grow.
We hire driven people and invest in their development through exposure, responsibility and coaching. If you are energised by execution and accountability, this role offers real opportunity.

What We Do
We bridge the funding gap, fuelling the success of high-growth businesses in the UK, US and across Europe. We've been supporting SMEs since 2011, when we first noticed a missing link in the funding ecosystem for growing businesses. Back then we focused on growth capital, bridging the gap between traditional banks and equity under the banner of BOOST&Co, but we knew this didn’t solve the whole problem. In 2020 we acquired GapCap and KX Media Capital, uniting these brands under the Growth Lending banner and launching our first working capital facilities. In the years that have followed, we have grown significantly, but some things remain the same: much like the firms we support, we do things a little bit differently. A human-first lending approach enables us to be agile and flexible, with decisions made by people, not machines. To date, we have lent more than £1bn to growing businesses. Could yours be next?
