The Debt Sale Consultant is a subject matter expert responsible for the end-to-end execution of debt sale engagements, from initial scoping and portfolio valuation to final delivery.
This critical role drives the debt sale agenda by managing a revenue budget and delivering high-quality, flawless debt sales that maintain the organisation's market-leading position.
What you’ll do
- The Debt Sale Consultant is a subject matter expert responsible for the end-to-end execution of debt sale engagements, from initial scoping and portfolio valuation to final delivery.
- This critical role drives the debt sale agenda by managing a revenue budget and delivering high-quality, flawless debt sales that maintain the organisation's market-leading position.
- Key responsibilities include managing complex project timelines, coordinating with key stakeholders from the internal Equifax team, and serving as the primary point of communication between seller clients and purchaser panels.
- Success in this role requires exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical rigor, and the ability to influence senior-level stakeholders while simultaneously mentoring team members.
What experience you need
- Exceptional communicator – across all levels of the businesses and organizations debt services deal with
- Problem solving and time management skills with a high degree of rigor
- Strongly motivated to do the right thing
- Proven ability to operate independently and take initiative
- Experience leading projects & being responsible for their output and delivery on time
- Proven track record in the debt sale industry within Financial Services, Utilities, or similar industries
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a time pressured environment to achieve revenue targets

- Project Management: Formal PM skills to manage the intersection of technical delivery and commercial deadlines.
- Market Insight: Extensive industry experience with a deep understanding of the collections and recoveries lifecycle and the current debt purchaser market.
