Job Summary: School wide implementation and effective leadership of Positive Behavior Incentives and Support systems (PBIS), scholar culture and climate initiatives, routine and procedural management, safety, and scholar discipline.


Essential Job Tasks:

● Provides training and leadership for staff and scholars with PBIS initiatives

● Collaborates with PBIS Committee for effective implementation of PBIS initiatives

● Provides leadership and assists administration in monitoring accountability of scholars' behavior

● Leads communication and fidelity of school wide established routines and procedures

● Assists teachers with de-escalation strategies and PBIS tactics in the classroom

● Provides professional development and training for teachers on PBIS

● Prioritizes redirection of behaviors to minimize loss of scholar instruction time

● Ensures compliance with classroom exclusion and suspension expectations

● Develops measures to achieve effective implementation, proper evaluation, and continuous improvement of PBIS initiatives and behavior management

● Demonstrates knowledge of MTSS / RTI

● Experience with data collection and decision making

● Communicates effectively with scholars, families, staff, and administration

● Demonstrates a high level of support and enthusiasm for PLA initiatives and culture/climate efforts

● Commits to actively participate in professional development

● Preserves and protects opportunity and equity for all scholars

● Professionally assumes other duties or responsibilities as directed


Minimum Job Qualifications:

● Master’s degree from accredited college or university

● Administrator’s License in state of operation

● Experience in turnaround work strongly preferred

● Strong belief in the learning potential of all scholars

● Alignment and high belief in PLA model

● Evidence of substantial impact on student performance
