Job Summary
The Dealing Supervisor oversees daily trading operations, ensuring accurate and efficient execution of trades and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves supervising a team of dealers, managing trading systems, and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients.
Job Responsibilities
* Supervise and lead a team of dealers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
* Monitor and manage daily trading activities across various asset classes, ensuring timely and accurate execution of client orders.
* Oversee the reconciliation of trades and resolution of discrepancies, collaborating with back-office operations.
* Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., MAS, SFC).
* Manage and optimize trading systems and platforms, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
* Maintain strong relationships with institutional brokers, counterparties, and fund managers.
* Conduct regular reviews of trading performance, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
* Generate and analyze trading reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
* Participate in the development and implementation of new trading strategies and products.
* Act as a point of escalation for complex trading queries and issues.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in dealing or trading operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
* Strong understanding of various financial instruments, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange.
* Proven experience with trading platforms and order management systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv).
* Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices within the financial services industry.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
* Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CMFAS, HKSI) are highly desirable.
* Good English communication skills
