Monthly Salary Range:
$5k-$6k per month
Job DescriptionThe Office Manager is responsible for the accurate representation of the financial condition of the dealership, develops controls necessary for the proper conduct of the business, maintains accurate records, and establishes and maintains the data processing capabilities to accomplish the dealership's objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist controller with preparation and timely submission of complete monthly financial statements.
- Interpret, analyze, and communicate financial trends and cash needs to the Controller.
- Supervise office staff, including receptionist and cashier, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Review journal entries and approve adjustments to inventory, cost of sales, and expense accounts.
- Prepare and process all workers' compensation and other insurance claims.
- Coordinate and prepare month-end reconciliations for all accounts, physical inventories, and expense accruals.
- Maintain fixed asset and prepaid asset accounts; calculate and reconcile depreciation expense monthly.
- Prepare end-of-month accounting reports and run monthly expense trend analysis.
- Assist in preparation for annual internal and external audits; provide requested information and follow up on corrections.
- Provide backup support for cashier and receptionist as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures; immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.
- Accounting degree or commensurate experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Two years of experience in a dealership office position.
- Working knowledge of dealership financial statements.
- Ability to explain technical financial information in an understandable manner.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Automotive industry accounting experience
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA
- Proficient in CDK
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license
