Job Summary

This role will contribute to this effort by providing leadership, planning and direction to a distribution center(s) by overseeing the operational, financial, and strategic direction.

The Distribution Center Manager oversees a distribution center with one million dollars or more in revenue. Responsibilities include maintaining smooth operations, financial performance and metrics, field equipment service as applicable and long-term priorities and plans of the Distribution Center. Ensures Distribution Center performs in an efficient and safe manner, and all State, Federal and Corporate guidelines & policies are followed.

Education & Experience Required:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 3+ years progressively challenging experience managing a medium-sized group of non-exempt employees and working knowledge of distribution operations
• 3+ years of experience managing a team of CDL Drivers

Education & Experience Preferred:

• College degree
• Min. 2 years of experience in ice business or related food production industry

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Job requires working in cold environment 40-50° in the processing area, 20-25° in the vault area with minimal time spent in normal office environment. Some heavy lifting required. Must have good manual dexterity. Hazards involve working around moving machinery, with slippery floors and exposure to temperature changes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
