About the role
The DC Cost Optimization - Sr Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving cost excellence across new product introduction (NPI) programs. In this highly influential position, you will partner with engineering, supply chain, operations, and program management teams to shape product cost structure and enable strategic financial decisions. Your work directly impacts product competitiveness, profitability, and long‑term business success by ensuring cost targets are met from concept through launch.
Key Responsibilities
As a DC Cost Optimization - Sr Manager you’ll be responsible for:
Serving as the primary finance partner for NPI programs, owning product cost models, cost targets, and financial risk assessments.
Leading cost reviews throughout the product lifecycle and ensuring alignment with engineering, supply chain, and operations.
Evaluating design alternatives, manufacturing strategies, and sourcing decisions to optimize cost, quality, and schedule.
Managing cross‑functional cost initiatives and coordinating with program managers to integrate financial insights into project schedules and executive reviews.
Identifying risks and opportunities early, proposing mitigation strategies, and influencing program direction.
Developing and maintaining detailed cost models, including BOM analysis, labor and overhead modeling, and scenario planning.
Performing variance analysis across material, labor, and manufacturing costs, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions.
Monitoring cost performance against targets and forecasting impacts to product margins and financial plans.
Partnering with engineering, supply chain, and operations to evaluate design‑for‑cost opportunities and validate sourcing and manufacturing strategies.
Leading FP&A activities including forecasts, budgets, and performance reviews, while managing investment portfolios for new product development.
Preparing senior‑leadership‑level presentations on cost performance, investments, and financial risks.
Conducting productivity and efficiency analyses to identify long‑term structural cost improvements.
Presenting complex financial analyses with compelling executive storytelling to influence strategic decisions.

As a minimum you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
6 - 8+ years of experience in product cost management, FP&A, manufacturing finance, or engineering finance.
Strong understanding of cost accounting, manufacturing processes, and supply chain dynamics.
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and manage complex projects.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data visualization tools.
Strong proficiency to communicate in English.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
MBA or advanced degree.
Experience in new product introduction environments.
Demonstrated ability to create executive‑level financial narratives.
