DBA
Role summary:
We're looking for an Senior DBA to join our DataOps team, part of the DevOps & Infrastructure group. In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, performance, and stability of our database systems. You’ll work closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of database environments—on-premise and in the cloud.
We’re looking for a team player with strong interpersonal skills, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to think creatively and act independently in a dynamic environment.

What you’ll do?
- Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable database architectures.
- Monitor production systems to ensure performance, availability, and stability.
- Develop automation and scripts to streamline day-to-day database operations.
- Collaborate with developers and engineers on database design and query optimization.
- Troubleshoot complex database issues and identify root causes.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends as needed.
Who you are?
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a DBA with RDBMS (MSSQL, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or TigerGraph.
- Strong background in database architecture and schema design.
- Proven experience in performance tuning and query optimization using native tools.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to be part of a 24/7 on-call support rotation.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., AWS Aurora, Google BigQuery, MongoDB Atlas, Azure Hyperscale).
- Familiarity with Linux-based environments (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to automation/configuration tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Proficiency in scripting for automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
