DBA Specialist

Devsinc is seeking a talented DBA Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our database systems to ensure the highest levels of performance, availability, and security. You will work closely with various teams to support application development and data management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and monitor database management systems (DBMS) including SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Perform database tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting to enhance performance and reduce downtime.
• Design, implement, and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize database queries and improve application performance.
• Conduct regular database maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and migrations.
• Document database designs, procedures, and configurations for team reference.
• Stay updated on database technology trends and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) or in a similar role.
• Proven experience with database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Strong understanding of database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience in backup and recovery procedures, including disaster recovery planning.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., SQL, PowerShell) for automation of database tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Database administration certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) are preferred.
