The Digital Modernization Sector has an opening for a DB2 z/OS Database Senior Specialist to work in Woodlawn, MD.
This position requires onsite work in Woodlawn, MD five days a week.
The DB2 z/OS Database Senior Specialist will provide expert DB2 z/OS technical support to the Leidos suite of projects supporting database mission functions of the Social Security Administration, Division of Database Systems (DDBS). This work effort involves providing multiple environment support focused on mainframe DB2 databases running on z/OS.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
The resource will be responsible for the SDLC for DB2 database development, maintenance, and troubleshooting; provide customer project support with thorough analysis and offering alternative solutions, evaluations, and advice on DB2-related problems. The resource will be responsible for conforming to customer standards and requirements and will be involved in the unit testing and validation against desired outcomes. The resource will function as part of a team, inclusive of customers, and must demonstrate sufficient communication skills to ensure success.
Required Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Solid experience with Database Recovery and Disaster Recovery support and database environments.

Hands on experience with all DB2 Utilities.

Expertise in all facets of DB2 Database administration.

Experience with DB2 Data Sharing.

Ability to independently research problems and provide solutions.

Database job scheduling tools (Control-M).
-
Mentor junior resources.

Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Security Clearance.

Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience OR Master’s with 6 years of experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be accepted/considered in lieu of degree.

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
