As a Data Solutions Engineering Manager at Object Computing, you'll have the unique chance to work on a wide range of projects, collaborating with clients from various sectors to solve complex data challenges. Responsibilities:

  • Technical Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to identify customer pain points and propose suitable data solutions using Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations, proofs-of-concept (PoCs), and workshops to showcase the capabilities of Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical expertise in Databricks or Snowflake architecture, data warehousing, cloud computing, and data engineering.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customer stakeholders to understand their technical and business needs and design tailored solutions.
  • RFP Responses: Assist in RFP responses and develop technical sales presentations.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on the latest developments in cloud data platforms, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Product Feedback: Work with product and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and influence product roadmaps.
  • Technical Documentation: Develop and deliver technical documentation, white papers, and solution architectures for customer engagement.
  • Post-Sales Support: Support the post-sales transition by working with implementation and customer success teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or data engineering role.
  • Strong professions experience and expertise in Databricks or Snowflake, including architecture, data pipelines, performance tuning, and integration.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, or other programming languages used in data engineering.
  • Experience in Big Data, ETL, data lakes, and business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and deliver high-quality results.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Experience in machine learning and data analytics.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
