Guidehouse is seeking a Databricks Data Analyst to join our AI & Data team to support client projects involving data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, and advanced analytics solution delivery. This role focuses on working with data to generate insights, build analytical datasets, and support decision-making across client and internal teams. The role requires strong SQL and data visualization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver accurate, secure, and well-documented data-driven solutions.
This position offers virtual work flexibility within the United States. While remote candidates will be considered, preference will be given to candidates located near a Guidehouse office in one of the following markets: Arlington, VA; Washington, DC; New York, NY; Chicago, IL; Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; and Boulder, CO.

The posted salary range represents a range of potential compensation and will vary based on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, and the level at which the position is filled.
What You Will Do:
Design, build, and maintain analytical datasets and data models using Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, and related tools.
Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and Python notebooks to support reporting, analysis, and business use cases.
Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools such as Databricks AI/BI Dashboards, Power BI, Tableau, and Databricks SQL.
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and insights that support business decisions.
Translate business requirements into analytical datasets, queries, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
Perform data validation, quality checks, and issue resolution to support accuracy, consistency, and reliable reporting outputs.
Work with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, solution architects, and client stakeholders.
Communicate analytical findings, reporting logic, and business insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Document data models, transformations, assumptions, and business logic to support transparency, reuse, and ongoing maintenance.
Support data governance, access control, security, lineage, and compliance standards within the Databricks platform.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or another relevant field.
3-10 years of relevant experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or analytical solution delivery.
Strong experience with SQL for data querying, transformation, analysis, and reporting.
Experience with Python or R for data analysis, automation, or exploratory analytics.
Experience with Databricks or similar cloud-native analytics platforms.
Experience with BI reporting tools such as Databricks AI/BI Dashboards, Power BI, or Tableau.
Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, data quality validation, and analytical dataset development concepts.
Ability to analyze data, communicate insights clearly, and work effectively in team-based delivery environments.
Experience developing clear documentation for analytic and reporting solutions, including data sources, business logic, metrics definitions, assumptions, and usage guidance.
What Would Be Nice to Have:
Experience using Unity Catalog for governed data discovery, access controls, lineage, schema organization, and secure management of enterprise data assets.
Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and medallion architecture concepts for curated analytical data delivery.
Active Databricks Data Analyst Associate or related certification.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience working in project-based or consulting delivery environments.
