As a Database Systems Senior Analyst, this role is a technical IT position responsible for supporting and maintaining relational databases and related tools that host critical data for in‑house and third‑party applications such as SAP, WebSphere, AutoSys, Informatica, and manufacturing systems. The position requires a strong understanding of database administration principles including performance tuning, monitoring, upgrades, patching, backups, recovery, and routine maintenance. The analyst ensures database availability, reliability, and performance through proactive monitoring and best practices. The role also requires working knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and UNIX to effectively support database environments.

What You Will Do
Support enterprise‑wide, mission‑critical and non‑mission‑critical databases, including test and development environments, ensuring availability and performance.
Perform database administration activities such as physical database design, backups and recovery, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate closely with application and operating system teams to meet space, performance, security, and backup requirements.
Participate in the analysis, design, and implementation of new and existing database systems, ensuring compliance with technical, data, and integration standards.
Develop and maintain SQL scripts, OS scripts, and process documentation, and work with vendors to resolve software‑related incidents.
Ensure security, data integrity, and compliance by following database controls, SOX processes, and participating in on‑call support and alert resolution.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Technology or in lieu of degree years of IT experience.
3 or more years of experience in Information Technology or graduation from an Information Technology Development Program, including at least one year working with database systems.
Intermediate understanding of operating systems, client/server architecture, standards, and currently used database applications.
Working knowledge of data modeling and logical/physical database design and implementation.
General understanding of middleware standards, networking technologies and protocols, with strong troubleshooting skills.
