The team is responsible for providing professional services to address business objectives in the areas of risk prevention and fraud detection. To offer state-of-the-art software solutions and provide comprehensive client delivery and consulting support using our expertise and flexible, client-focused approach.


The Role

A Database Specialist is pivotal in ensuring the efficient, secure, and reliable operation of our product/ customer databases. The scope of their responsibilities is extensive and involves a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining the integrity and performance of database systems.

What you will do

  • Develops and maintains Database reference architecture and design documents
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable On-premise/ Cloud-based database solutions
  • Further establish and ensure Database standards (security, reliability, availability, and scalability) and procedures are met by our product teams
  • Identify opportunities for Database infrastructure optimization and cost reduction
  • Root cause analysis of production-related database issues
  • Maintain development and production environments
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex business and technology problems
  • Perform physical implementation of databases, storage structures, high-availability solutions such as multi-AZ, replication, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Manage, support and maintain both Cloud and On-Premises database environment as well as MS SQL Server databases and infrastructure, adhering to the architectural guidelines and policies
  • Provide technical expertise and hands-on support in consolidation and migration of databases to new hardware and platforms
Requirements
What are we looking for
  • Experience performing Database administration or database engineering duties for database internals for SQL Server and possess experience in Oracle Database.
  • Experience in supporting MySQL, PostgreSQL will be added advantage
  • Experience supporting software engineering teams through the software development lifecycle
  • Experience deploying, operating, and monitoring database infrastructure AWS/ Azure cloud environment will be added advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • A deep understanding of the cloud computing model as it relates to enterprise productivity
  • Familiarity with AWS/ Azure Cloud products (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda, Aurora, Dynamo DB, EMR, DMS data migration, Athena, Glue, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with operating high-uptime Databases in both AWS/ Azure and on-premises environments
  • Experience with cloud database technologies (i.e. AWS RDS, Oracle, MS SQL, Azure)
