Job Description

  • Help with the build and management of our Snowflake/DBT/Fivetran data platform and database pipeline architecture for extraction, loading and transformation of data to support Advanced Analytics.
  • Support our cloud database, storage, data analysis, data catalog, and tooling using Snowflake data cloud, DBT and Fivetran.
  • Extract data through API/web services
  • Design and develop data models in Snowflake with DBT for internal business partners including finance, accounting, sales, Marketing and HR
  • Write advanced SQL queries for ELT/data warehousing/Business Intelligence
  • Follow best practices and standards around data governance, security and privacy.
  • Effective software development life cycle management skills and release management experience.
  • Leverage tools like Fivetran, DBT, Snowflake, GitHub, Power BI, SQL and Python to drive ETL, data modeling and analytics.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of the data warehouse to ensure data accuracy and quality
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data dictionaries, processes, and best practices
  • Collaboration and leadership skills to drive projects.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment coordinating multiple projects.


Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in a related field
  • 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer building database pipeline architectures for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources


Preferred Requirements:

  • Multiple years of cloud data warehouse experience supporting databases, storage, data analysis, data catalog, and tooling using Snowflake data cloud and DBT. Strong Snowflake and DBT experience desired. FiveTran experience also desired.
  • Strong expertise in SQL.
  • Strong data warehousing/modeling, extract load transform/extract transform load (ELT/ETL) development experience.
  • Data visualization experience (Power BI, Sigma etc.) for analytical products reporting.
  • Analytical experience utilizing logic based programming (Python experience preferred) for data analysis.
  • Experience building systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for advanced analytics.
  • Advanced understanding of data modeling, data warehousing and reporting concepts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical ability
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong communications skills and ability to collaborate with a team
  • Able to manage multiple projects and pivot when needed
  • Experience with Snowflake, DBT, GitHub, SQL, Python, Fivetran, Rest API, Web Services, Integrations is preferred
  • Subscription analytics is a plus
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Sigma or other Self Service tools is a plus
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus


Additional Information
DOE, salary $120K - $140K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience/education and location.
