Position Overview:
The Database Report Developer role requires an individual with excellent interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of various IT systems. The role will require daily interaction with business users, managers and IT staff to develop reports for the Operations department to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze production systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy of setups as they relate to the data mart applications. Report findings and follow through to verify that the appropriate teams correct such errors.
- Perform summary analysis to predict operations activity for given periods and conduct post-mortem research to explain variances from expected results.
- Provide data for ad hoc requests as needed. Must able to think analytically and develop an expert understanding of business operational systems to query, summarize, and present information quickly and accurately
- Build data visualizations in Tableau or other software
- Manage large data across a variety of platforms
- Act as the day-to-day lead on ad-hoc query requests
- Work with IT on enhancement requests, trouble shooting and new development
- Run reports and distribute data to various team members, daily, weekly and monthly

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong SQL background with experience across multiple platforms (Oracle and SQL server)
- Knowledge of data architecture
- Database warehousing experience
- Experience with Tableau and OBIEE preferred
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate with internal and external personnel in a positive manner utilizing strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to converse at a technical level with IT
- Demonstrated analytical and decision making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve quickly in a fast paced environment.
- Minimum of 5 years performing analysis of data held in a complex, relational databases environment
- College degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business Operations, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Salary Range (Chattanooga): $73,656.09 $98,208.12
Annual Bonus Potential: 10%
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed, education, experience, travel requirements for the job, and/or other business and organizational needs.
